No Masks. No Armor.

No masks. No armor. No protection. I cannot LOVE her more than I LOVE myself. Loving myself means being honest and committing to my well-being. To stop judging, criticizing and comparing. No more forcing myself to be anyone other than who I am & dismantle the preconceived ideas of who I thought I was.

I used to believe in the “fake it til you make it” mantra, but it does not work in LOVE. Self-sacrifice isn’t proof of LOVE, especially towards our kids. The idea that parental instinct trumps self-preservation is archaic.

The ability to LOVE HER MORE has been my biggest motivation to continue doing the work.
