Visibility matters.

“Hey, there are KIDS around here,” says a 50 year old white dude, shaming two confident women showing public affection.

This actually happens to us! It’s a true story. Many women I talk with tell me when they come out to friends me family, adults intentionally shield their kids from seeing their gayness on display.

How SAD.
When people don’t understand and aren’t familiar with something, it’s uncomfortable and the gut reaction is to reject it.

This why visibility matters! Instead of shielding our kids, we must SHOW them our love! Our kids literally BEAM when they see us being affectionate. It’s the most beautiful thing.

I’m so so thankful to not live in shame anymore. To all you dudes who are loudly shaming us or Mom’s who are quietly rejecting us…I see and I love you, and I really hope when your child or grandchild comes out you change your tune. 🙏🏻
